From now on, the computer does this busywork
The companion page to the video. The most important money-saving reflex first: not everything that sounds like automation needs AI.
The distinction that saves money
Not everything that sounds like “automation” needs artificial intelligence. Those who confuse the two pay for a rocket where a bicycle would do.
- Rule-based (runs the same way every time) → automate without AI: simpler, more stable, cheaper.
- Requires understanding → only here does AI come into play.
- Judgement / negotiation → leave with people.
The approach in four steps
- Record the process — click by click. Exactly as an employee does it. This recording is your blueprint.
- Capture the rules. Log in, navigate, read out, enter, repeat.
- Progress and restart — the part amateurs leave out. A good automation remembers where it was and carries on cleanly.
- Let it run unattended, at night. In the morning, a person only checks the result.

- Does automation always need AI?
- No. The majority of office busywork is rule-based — it runs the same way every time. That is best automated without AI: simpler, more stable, cheaper. AI only comes in when genuine understanding is required.
- What stays with people?
- Everything involving genuine judgement — assessing an exception, negotiating with a customer. The gain is that your people have time for exactly that again.
